Spears

Brendt specializes in prosecution of personal injury claims involving complicated medical issues and medical malpractice claims. Brendt received a Doctor of Medicine degree from St. Louis University, School of Medicine in Missouri. Thereafter, he was a resident in General Surgery at Kansas University Medical Center, performing surgeries ranging from appendectomy, cholecystectomy, to bowel resections. He was also exposed to the gamut of traumatic injuries as the trauma ICU resident at a Level 1 trauma center. Brendt made a pivot in careers to attend law school at John F. Kennedy University, College of Law.

When not fighting for justice of catastrophically injured patients, he spends his time with his wife and two children. Brendt grew up in San Francisco and resides in Contra Costa County. He enjoys traveling, skiing, and cinema.

Brendt became a Board member for the Alameda-Contra Costa Trial Lawyers' Association in 2026.
